VideoBox does what its two competitors - VideosZ and DownloadPass, excel at. It offers a large and varied adult video collection with licensed content from several hundred DVDs from leading porn studios.
VideoBox does it at a so far slightly smaller scale but also at a lower price (although DownloadPass comes very close with the 50% offer through this site - I’ll get back to that in the conclusion).

Content

At the time of writing VideoBox has 355 full porn DVDs for download or online viewing.
Like DownloadPass, VideoBox has opted for a representation of a wide range of porn studios, rather than focusing on a couple of handfuls like the other main competitor VideosZ. Currently you will find movies from 41 different studios, although some of them are of course more heavily represented than the others.

VideoBox offers a wide range of niches as well, whatever your turnons you can almost certainly find something you like here - For most of us probably a lot.
With the wide range of studios and niches it is also highly likely that you will find one or more scenes at VideoBox starring your favourite pornstars.

The clean site design and extensive search options make it very easy to find what you are looking for, and the scene selection system deserves praise as well, since it allows you to use thumbnail images from the scene to select any part for viewing or download. You can download the entire scene, the final five minutes, or perhaps you want to chop out a few minutes in the middle. No problem here - anything is possible.

The updates at VideoBox also keeps coming at a brisk pace. One new DVD is added every day of the week.

Video Quality

All scenes at VideoBox can be viewed or downloaded in the Windows Media format (WMV) and in three different qualities, making it possible for broadband and modem users alike to enjoy the videos. The VideoBox selection system mentioned above makes it even easier for people on a slow connection to cut the downloads into managable portions.

Broadband users will obviously want to go for the high quality version of the scenes, and I am happy to say that the quality is very good. Obviously it will still be a while before you get full DVD quality downloads from porn sites, but what you get at VideoBox is among the best and definately more than adequate for full screen viewing on your computer monitor or a tv.

Final Comments

So no problems or downsides then? Not many and they are usually fairly easy to avoid or work around.
I have experienced some slowdowns in downloads around “Internet primetime” (evening in the US), indicating that the VideoBox servers are getting heavy load. This does not mean downloads slow down to a crawl however, but they may occasionally dip down to 50-80% of what your broadband line should be able to handle.
Solution? Wait a little longer for your downloads to complete, or if possible and if you plan on downloading several hundred megabytes in one go, try to do it a little earlier in the day.

And with this review completing the review series of my favourite trio of adult video sites - VideoBox, VideosZ and DownloadPass, it would probably be an appropriate time to ask which one I consider the best choice.
Difficult to answer. With 355+ DVDs VideoBox has more than enough porn for most people - and at only $9.95.
On the other hand, with the latest 90 DVD upgrade at DownloadPass they are now up to 658 and going through any link here at Babes and Toys gets you the full membership for only $14.95. And the variety is even larger than at VideoBox.
VideosZ is still ahead on volume - 724 DVDs and still growing, and while less variety, the focus on fewer high quality studios means you are more likely to find your favourite stars featured in more scenes.

At the moment I think my vote goes to DownloadPass, but they are all excellent choices and they each have plenty of movies you will not find in the competitors’ archives.

The almost ridiculously low price at VideoBox means that keeping up a membership here while jumping between other sites shouldn’t result in financial ruin for most of us. That’s what I am doing at the moment anway :).
