Until now Club Sandy has been sitting quite solidly as provider of the hottest lesbian video and photo porn I’ve yet come across, but I think it’s safe to say they are now battling fiercely with Sapphic Erotica for my attention.
The two sites do generally go about things a bit differently though, but I’ll make a few notes about that near the end of this review.

Sapphic Erotica is put together and run by a single webmaster, Bailey, who presents himself on the site as a huge fan of lesbian porn, particularly the more intimate kind with lots of kissing and gentle touching and caressing - a very nice contrast to the very direct and stilted approach you often see in lesbian porn obviously made to entertain men.
So is the lesbian sex at Sapphic Erotica, but in every photoset and every video you get the feeling that these gorgeous, very often amateur girls are truly into each other, having fun and genuinely enjoying the experience.

Despite the focus often being being on intimate kissing and pussy licking and fingering, you will find a fair amount of scenes involving toys and strapons - and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the site has a very healthy selection of videos and photosets involving lesbian fisting. Something I have really taken a liking to lately since it’s so obviously an extremely strong and satisfying experience for the girls able to do it. And those feelings are definately expressed by the girls here.

Sapphic Erotica has enough video and photo content to keep you entertained for a very long time. Currently 546 models are featured in 635 photosets and 266 videos. That’s a total of almost 75,000 photos and around 94 hours of video.
In addition to this the site is continually growing with new photosets or videos being added Monday to Friday.

It’s also worth noting that a very large part of the content is exclusive to Sapphic Erotica so you will not have run into it on other sites - around 60% of the photos and 90% of the videos.

Video/Photo Quality

The photo quality at Sapphic Erotica is excellent, and the exclusive pictures are all in large formats - from around 700×1000 for the older ones to 800×1200 for the more recent sets.

All the recent videos are available for download in two formats. The full scene as a single Windows Media (wmv) file or broken into segments in smaller mpeg files. Some of the older videos can be downloaded segmented in DivX (avi) format as well.
The video quality is flawless - high resolution that looks crisp and clear whether you play the videos in a window or in full screen mode, and the crew obviously know what they are doing (webmaster Bailey actually does a lot of the photography and camera work himself), lighting, sound and everything else is spot on in the vast majority of the scenes I have been through.

Final Comments

Saying that Sapphic Erotica is nothing less than a remarkable porn site and by far one of the absolute best in the lesbian niche, is not overstating it in the least.

The girls are gorgeous and natural (no washed up pornstars with bad boob jobs here), the action some of the hottest and definately the most intimate and sincere I’ve ever seen, and the video and photo archives are huge and still growing daily.

I haven’t covered site design and navigation yet, but it can pretty much be summed up by saying clean and simple - and personally that tends to be the way I like it.
The site looks attractive, it’s almost completely stripped of advertising (a few very unobtrusive banners for FTV Girls and a couple of other sites), and it offers several ways of locating just the content you want to see. Sort by models, date, video or photo etc.

Some people think that comparisons have no place in review, but I think they can occasionally serve their purpose, so since I began this review with a mention of Club Sandy, I’ll finish off with one as well.
Both Sapphic Erotica and Club Sandy have enough high quality lesbian photo and video content to keep you entertained for months, and while the girls are also stunning and natural on both sites (they actually use some of the same girls occasionally - now wonder though, those East European babes are some of the hottest you’ll ever see), Sapphic Erotica focuses on gentler more intimate lesbian sex while Club Sandy usually goes very heavy on the huge dildos and hardcore strapon action - often with both pussies and asses penetrated.

Do I have a favourite? Not really. Even though I’m a huge fan of hardcore toy porn I have been extremely impressed with Sapphic Erotica, so I guess it’s down to what I’m in the mood for on any given day :).
