Is it time for my 2008 update yet?

As you’ve no doubt noticed if you’ve looked around a bit here at Babes and Toys - and as I have pointed out in several of my previous and very infrequent posts - this blog is really not an active project anymore, for that I’ll still have to point you in direction of my review site.

In any case, since this blog is still getting several hundred daily visitors, I figured I would take the opportunity to make a brief summary of what’s happened over the last 6+ months on some of my favourite lesbian and solo babe masturbation sites.
This is gonna be a pretty long one, but out of consideration for the easily bored (I’ll let you decide whether to put the blame on a short attention span or my writing) I’ve added headlines so you can quickly skip right ahead to what you figure you might be interested in reading.

FTV Girls
Still one of the absolute best toys/masturbation sites out there, though several others (see below) have admittedly been getting just as much or more of my attention here in 2008.
FTV Girls nevertheless remains extremely strong with its huge video and photo updates, consisting of several different scenes within each update, shot in several locations, usually starring one girl, but on rare occasions we still see an extremely hot lesbian update.
As I mentioned in my last post in December last year, FTV Girls are now also releasing all their new video updates in what is arguably the currently highest quality on any porn site - 1440×1080 (a letterbox widescreen format, meaning not quite full 1080p HD) at a staggering 8000 kbit. Lower qualities are obviously still available if you don’t have an Internet connection that’s particularly fond of dealing with several Gigabytes of video in each update.

Club Sandy and Pix & Video
I can never get enough of all the insanely hot Hungarian and Czech babes, and 21Sextury are in my opinion overall still the best provider in that department.
Their two flagship sites Club Sandy and Pix & Video are bigger than ever, and both thoroughly huge, with Club Sandy currently at well over 700 videos and photosets and Pix & Video now clocking in at a mindblowing 1400+ videos and photosets thanks to their regular like clockwork daily video and photoset updates since late 2003 (at Club Sandy they alternate between videos and photosets).

Club Sandy is still my favourite of the two - mainly because Sandy herself is still starring in several updates every month (and lend, or share, the remaining time with the other 200+ Eurohotties on the site).
Pix & Video also still has slightly heavier focus on hardcore guy/girl scenes than CS, though there’s certainly no shortage of lesbian and solo updates either, which in fact still make up for the majority of the content.

Both sites got a much needed video quality upgrade last year and while it’s still not nearly a match for the high bitrate HD quality that’s starting to appear on an increasing number of sites, it certainly doesn’t look half bad and is perfectly suitable for full screen viewing even on a fairly large monitor (I’m on a 22″ myself).

The two sites now also have an extensive and somewhat complex (confusing might be a better word actually) bonus site system, where you get access to two other 21Sextury sites each month you remain a member (if you plan on taking advantage of that, make sure you don’t choose one of the non-recurring membership options, which will have you starting all over again saving up bonus months when/if you rejoin after the membership expires).
Various discounted two site memberships are also available (I’m currently on a combined CS and P&V membership, as I’ve been several times before).

ALS Scan
Another site with lots of gorgeous Eurobabes (all with small to medium sized natural tits and clean shaven pussies All Ladies Shaved) playing with themselves and each other.
Despite a minor overhaul to the site design recently, the tour pages in particular still look scarily old style. Don’t let that fool you though - the babes certainly aren’t, updates are coming every day, the content archives are huge and the technical quality on recent content is some of the best out there, with near poster sized and razor sharp photos and full 720p HD video at 4000 kbit.

Sapphic Erotica
Still arguably the best and largest dedicated lesbian site, if you - to copy a sentence I believe I’ve used about the site several times before, probably even in my review - prefer your lesbian porn of the intimate and loving kind (something that does also apply to a lot of the girl/girl content on the other sites mentioned in this blog post).

Sure, if you’ve been a Sapphic Erotica member one or several times before, the scenes might start to look a bit too formularic - and you might also find yourself longing for revisits from some of the old Sapphic Erotica superstars. Girls like Eve Angel, Jo, Peaches, Zafira and several others have stopped by a few times over the last couple of years though, but Nella - or Jackie as she’s called on Sapphic Erotica - has unfortunately been a bit absent since her many appearances in 2004 and 05.
The “old” girls have been replaced by a wealth of new, younger models though, so unless you’re a die hard fan of certain girls (like I am), you probably won’t bemoan the loss (and since none of the girls I mentioned have actually retired completely, they can still occasionally be seen in new content at particularly Club Sandy and Pix & Video, or in the case of Nella, at ALS Scan or her own official site).

I haven’t written about this insanely huge site here at Babes and Toys before - in fact I only just reviewed it in December, giving it the second highest score I’ve handed out so far.
Like Pix & Video and to a slightly lesser extent Club Sandy, 1 By Day can adequately be described as a Eurobabe megasite (there are some models that aren’t from Eastern Europe, but most are, which you certainly won’t hear me complaining about), and dating back to 2001, it actually dwarfs both those sites by quite a margin.
It also features content in the same niches (solo, lesbian and hardcore guy/girl, in a roughly 70/20/10 percent split) and with a similar glamour style.

1 By Day got an extensive overhaul last year, effectively splitting the site into two sections - the old archives retaining the old design and video/photo quality that (obviously) gets progressively worse as you go back in time towards 2001, and the new 1 By Day & 1 By Night section with two daily updates (in recent months one of them has generally been a reencoded version of an old popular content set in higher quality), and improved site interface and full 720p, 4000 kbit quality on the new video content.

The new and old sections combined hold a massive total of over 3000 videos and photosets with more than 900 girls - covering everything from very early Sophie Moone and Sandy content in the oldest archives, over brand new solo and lesbian videos with up and commers like Black Angelica and Juliana Grandi (they have some insane, new anal fisting videos with Juliana) to five exclusive 2007 softcore solo videos and photosets with my all time favourite glamour babe Aria Giovanni (fans will know that video content with Aria, aside from old stuff from Danni.com and very short clips from her own official site, is quite a rarity).

I think I may have mentioned what I’m about to write once or twice before, but good things are worth repeating - and besides, how likely are you to make your way to some post I may or may not have made on this blog a year or two ago?

FTV Girls is a rather large site - nearly 300 girls in more than 77,000 photos and at least a few hundred hours of video - so aside from the alphabetized model/update directory on the site, and the main page showing the updates from the current year, a certain special section comes in quite handy when you want a few hints on where to start, or where to find the next video to download.

The “FTV Challenge” section consists of five different pages that can help you out with those hints and pointers.

“Hottest masturbation scenes” - a page with 150 preview pics and links to as many videos. There isn’t a user voting system at FTV Girls, so they are going by most watched/downloaded, and listing them in no particular order.

“Most unique & extreme” - this is where you go when you want a quick overview of some of all those really interesting videos, where the girls not merely masturbate with fingers and “regular” sized toys, but shove huge dildos, baseball bats, cucumbers (several) and other objects or even their own entire fists into their pussies and occasionally asses.

I updated my review of the extreme toy site Brutal Dildos last month, and I was no less impressed with the site as I was when I first reviewed it a year and a half ago (and updated it last Summer).

Here’s what I wrote in my Brutal Dildos review update (if you already clicked the review link above you can obviously skip straight ahead to the gallery links further down - or do the same if you don’t really care all that much what I have to say ;)).

“It’s been a year since my last visit at Brutal Dildos, and it’s been growing just as steadily as the case was during my first revisit - one new video and photo update a week, meaning that the total number of scenes is now up to a very respectable 172. Actually, that’s probably more than just respectable given the still pretty unique content we’re looking at here - seriously huge dildos and severely stretched pussies and assholes.

Most of the girls are still pretty hot, though there is perhaps a slightly larger than usual “trailer trash ratio” at Brutal Dildos. But that’s not actually as bad as it might sound in this case. A few well known pornstars are also dropping by from time to time, extreme girls like Sandra Romain, Hillary Scott, Kelly Wells and Ava Devine.

Another thing worth adding is that the video quality has once again gotten a pretty significant boost, the highest of the three qualities available for the most recent seven updates is a great looking 640×480, 2000 kbit. The full movie files are obviously rather large in this quality, but there’s still the option to download them in typically five to eight chunks.”

Yep, the site design at Brutal Dildos is still butt ugly and outdated, but as we’ve seen with a site like ALS Scan (late 90s site design anyone?) that’s fortunately not always an indication of the quality of the actual content.
And I guess the site owners must have some sort of reason for not changing it to something more stylish and up to date - standing out in the crowd perhaps?

Anyway Brutal Dildos is still the best among the extreme dildo sites - not that it has all that much competition if we take “extreme” to refer to the size of the toys at least.

Ever get tired of doing the same things over and over? Well, while that’s probably unavoidable in certain aspects of a life, I would like to think there’s a way around it when it comes to things that involve at least a minimal trace of creativity - like writing about porn for instance (alright, so maybe it doesn’t exactly take the concept of creativity to new heights, bear over with me please).

I’ve been going over my posts here at Babes and Toys for the last year, and even though I’ve slowed down updates significantly to spend more time on my review site and a few other online projects, I think I’ve nevertheless concluded that there’s only so many times I can write about the new excellent video/photo content Club Sandy, FTV Girls, Sapphic Erotica, Pix & Video, Fuckingmachines and assorted other sites I count among my favourites, keep pumping out one to seven times a week, before I start sounding like a broken record.

So at least for the time being I think I’ll stop repeating myself here at Babes and Toys - feel free to browse through the archives (dating back to March 2005), but don’t expect more than perhaps an occasional update if something out of the ordinary takes place at one of my favourite lesbian/toys/masturbation sites, or if a new one arrives that can come close to matching the high standards of the ones listed above.

I’m not done writing though - at all. I’ll probably hit 100 reviews at Mike’s Porn Site Reviews in about a week, and then it’s quickly onwards toward 200.

Additionally, since I absolutely love all those gorgeous East European babes they have a few hundred of at Club Sandy and Pix & Video (not to mention the frequent visits many of them make at other sites - like Sapphic Erotica to stay on topic), I’m planning on launching a neatly organized “Eurobabe” site/blog dedicated to all my favourites like Eve Angel, Sophie Moone, Sandy, Jo, Silvia Saint, Dora Venter, Anetta Keys, Angel Dark and many others.
While I’ve focused solely on lesbian and solo sex here at Babes and Toys, the new site will dive into other niches as well - like anal, gangbangs etc. or whatever the individual models have appeared in.

As I’ll be pretty busy with other things over the summer, it will probably be a couple of months before the new site is up, but I’ll make sure to drop a note here when it’s ready, but expect to find it at eurobabeheaven.com.

If I had to pick just one site as my one and only favourite I would have to say… well, that I couldn’t :). But a very likely candidate would have to be VideoBox.

I’ve now had my membership running for nine months straight (it’s only ten bucks a month so I haven’t even bothered to cancel in the few months where I haven’t visisted regularly), and during that time their collection of downloadable DVDs (licensed from popular porn studios) has grown from around 300 to 600 with last night’s addition.
Needless to say you’ll be very hard pressed to find better value for your money on any other porn site if a healthy mix of more than 30 hardcore porn niches and hundreds of more or less well known pornstars is what you’re after.

The topics here at Babes and Toys mainly cover lesbian, masturbation and, yep, you’re right, toys.
VideoBox has you covered quite well in those areas with currently 214 lesbian scenes, 130 masturbation scenes and 362 that include toys in one form or another (obviously overlapping with some of the content from the other two categories).

While I must admit that I generally turn to sites like Club Sandy, FTV Girls, Sapphic Erotica and other sites with high quality exclusive content for those niches, VideoBox certainly doesn’t disappoint here.
And if you don’t like their lesbian and toy sections you can always dig into their interracial porn, gangbangs, blowjobs, latinas, squirting orgasms and lots of other stuff that should keep any hardcore porn fan entertained for a very long while.
And then there’s of course still a new DVD coming every day.

VideosZ might take the lead in terms of sheer volume, closing in quickly on one thousand downloadable DVDs, but at $9.95 VideoBox is no doubt the single best porn value deal on the Internet. And despite the low price tag (which they no doubt make up for because people tend to find it so cheap they stay members longer than would on other sites - clever marketing trick :P) they aren’t going skimpy on neither site design, search features or video quality (a very decent 480×352, 600-900 kbit).

A little over a week ago I wrote a bit about the large hardcore lesbian video site Four Finger Club that’s part of the NS All Access network I’m currently reviewing at Mike’s Porn Site Reviews.

I just finished up my review of Four Finger Club an hour ago, so I thought I would mention it here since it’s very much fitting with the theme of Babes and Toys.

There has actully been no less than five content updates at FTV Girls since the last time I wrote about this hardcore toy/masturbation site on December 28, but since my review site means I’ve generally had to cut back somewhat on my other online work (this blog for instance), I guess you’ll just have to settle for me picking out updates at random for my favourite sites. I simply don’t have the time to keep up with all of them anymore :).

I’m still busy cranking out reviews for my new review site (up to 16 full reviews and 6 quick reviews now), but I think I can manage to squeeze in a couple of updates here at Babes and Toys as well before I leave for the holidays on Wednesday.

I might as well dedicate this one to what is probably my current all time favourite site (and current top scorer at the review site) - FTV Girls.

Since my last post about my favourite masturbation/toy site there have been two new content updates, the latest just coming in today (I’m actually trying to watch the videos while writing this :P).
