Is it time for my 2008 update yet?

As you’ve no doubt noticed if you’ve looked around a bit here at Babes and Toys - and as I have pointed out in several of my previous and very infrequent posts - this blog is really not an active project anymore, for that I’ll still have to point you in direction of my review site.

In any case, since this blog is still getting several hundred daily visitors, I figured I would take the opportunity to make a brief summary of what’s happened over the last 6+ months on some of my favourite lesbian and solo babe masturbation sites.
This is gonna be a pretty long one, but out of consideration for the easily bored (I’ll let you decide whether to put the blame on a short attention span or my writing) I’ve added headlines so you can quickly skip right ahead to what you figure you might be interested in reading.

FTV Girls
Still one of the absolute best toys/masturbation sites out there, though several others (see below) have admittedly been getting just as much or more of my attention here in 2008.
FTV Girls nevertheless remains extremely strong with its huge video and photo updates, consisting of several different scenes within each update, shot in several locations, usually starring one girl, but on rare occasions we still see an extremely hot lesbian update.
As I mentioned in my last post in December last year, FTV Girls are now also releasing all their new video updates in what is arguably the currently highest quality on any porn site - 1440×1080 (a letterbox widescreen format, meaning not quite full 1080p HD) at a staggering 8000 kbit. Lower qualities are obviously still available if you don’t have an Internet connection that’s particularly fond of dealing with several Gigabytes of video in each update.

Club Sandy and Pix & Video
I can never get enough of all the insanely hot Hungarian and Czech babes, and 21Sextury are in my opinion overall still the best provider in that department.
Their two flagship sites Club Sandy and Pix & Video are bigger than ever, and both thoroughly huge, with Club Sandy currently at well over 700 videos and photosets and Pix & Video now clocking in at a mindblowing 1400+ videos and photosets thanks to their regular like clockwork daily video and photoset updates since late 2003 (at Club Sandy they alternate between videos and photosets).

Club Sandy is still my favourite of the two - mainly because Sandy herself is still starring in several updates every month (and lend, or share, the remaining time with the other 200+ Eurohotties on the site).
Pix & Video also still has slightly heavier focus on hardcore guy/girl scenes than CS, though there’s certainly no shortage of lesbian and solo updates either, which in fact still make up for the majority of the content.

Both sites got a much needed video quality upgrade last year and while it’s still not nearly a match for the high bitrate HD quality that’s starting to appear on an increasing number of sites, it certainly doesn’t look half bad and is perfectly suitable for full screen viewing even on a fairly large monitor (I’m on a 22″ myself).

The two sites now also have an extensive and somewhat complex (confusing might be a better word actually) bonus site system, where you get access to two other 21Sextury sites each month you remain a member (if you plan on taking advantage of that, make sure you don’t choose one of the non-recurring membership options, which will have you starting all over again saving up bonus months when/if you rejoin after the membership expires).
Various discounted two site memberships are also available (I’m currently on a combined CS and P&V membership, as I’ve been several times before).

ALS Scan
Another site with lots of gorgeous Eurobabes (all with small to medium sized natural tits and clean shaven pussies All Ladies Shaved) playing with themselves and each other.
Despite a minor overhaul to the site design recently, the tour pages in particular still look scarily old style. Don’t let that fool you though - the babes certainly aren’t, updates are coming every day, the content archives are huge and the technical quality on recent content is some of the best out there, with near poster sized and razor sharp photos and full 720p HD video at 4000 kbit.

Aside from the sexy ladies themselves, quite a lot of the content in shot in beautiful and exotic outdoors locations.
Fans of lesbian and solo fisting will also likely find ALS Scan one of the best sites on offer (though the sites above have their fair share of fisting content as well), and I believe this is actually the only site where the very popular and utterly gorgeous Czech babe Nella has been on the receiving end of another girl’s fist. Sapphic Erotica
Still arguably the best and largest dedicated lesbian site, if you - to copy a sentence I believe I’ve used about the site several times before, probably even in my review - prefer your lesbian porn of the intimate and loving kind (something that does also apply to a lot of the girl/girl content on the other sites mentioned in this blog post).

Sure, if you’ve been a Sapphic Erotica member one or several times before, the scenes might start to look a bit too formularic - and you might also find yourself longing for revisits from some of the old Sapphic Erotica superstars. Girls like Eve Angel, Jo, Peaches, Zafira and several others have stopped by a few times over the last couple of years though, but Nella - or Jackie as she’s called on Sapphic Erotica - has unfortunately been a bit absent since her many appearances in 2004 and 05.
The “old” girls have been replaced by a wealth of new, younger models though, so unless you’re a die hard fan of certain girls (like I am), you probably won’t bemoan the loss (and since none of the girls I mentioned have actually retired completely, they can still occasionally be seen in new content at particularly Club Sandy and Pix & Video, or in the case of Nella, at ALS Scan or her own official site).

And of course if you’re a first time member - and for some of you, second, third and fourth for that matter - you should find yourself in lesbian heaven at Sapphic Erotica.

I haven’t written about this insanely huge site here at Babes and Toys before - in fact I only just reviewed it in December, giving it the second highest score I’ve handed out so far.
Like Pix & Video and to a slightly lesser extent Club Sandy, 1 By Day can adequately be described as a Eurobabe megasite (there are some models that aren’t from Eastern Europe, but most are, which you certainly won’t hear me complaining about), and dating back to 2001, it actually dwarfs both those sites by quite a margin.
It also features content in the same niches (solo, lesbian and hardcore guy/girl, in a roughly 70/20/10 percent split) and with a similar glamour style.

1 By Day got an extensive overhaul last year, effectively splitting the site into two sections - the old archives retaining the old design and video/photo quality that (obviously) gets progressively worse as you go back in time towards 2001, and the new 1 By Day & 1 By Night section with two daily updates (in recent months one of them has generally been a reencoded version of an old popular content set in higher quality), and improved site interface and full 720p, 4000 kbit quality on the new video content.

The new and old sections combined hold a massive total of over 3000 videos and photosets with more than 900 girls - covering everything from very early Sophie Moone and Sandy content in the oldest archives, over brand new solo and lesbian videos with up and commers like Black Angelica and Juliana Grandi (they have some insane, new anal fisting videos with Juliana) to five exclusive 2007 softcore solo videos and photosets with my all time favourite glamour babe Aria Giovanni (fans will know that video content with Aria, aside from old stuff from Danni.com and very short clips from her own official site, is quite a rarity).

My favourite DVD download site VideoBox has been getting a pretty large design overhaul over the last couple of months, and the new improved site interface members have had access to for a while can now also be seen on the “tour” (guests actually have full access to browse the entire site, only downloads and a few account specific features are turned off).
I updated my review of VideoBox earlier this month, so I won’t bother going into details about the interface changes here as well.

The more important thing is that VideoBox continues to grow with five new full DVDs every single day, so the total collection of downloadable adult DVDs is now at more than 3,200 - or a total of no less than over 18,000(!) individual 10-40 minute scenes in more than 30 different categories/niches.

The categories relating to the topics here at Babes and Toys aren’t among the most well stocked or most frequently updated (anal is the winner there, along with the more general categories “straight sex” and “gonzo”), but with currently 1,196 lesbian scenes, 660 masturbation scenes and 1,623 toy scenes (the last group obviously overlapping with the two first, and including some hardcore guy/girl videos you may or may not have an interest in), it’s safe to say that VideoBox dwarfs even some of the largest specialized sites in those niches (ie. Sapphic Erotica, FTV Girls and ALS Scan - although as you would expect when the many videos come from a bunch of different porn studios, the quality is obviously a lot more uneven. A lot of really hot scenes, but also a lot of crap - and a whole bunch somewhere in between.

VideoBox still has the strong selling points that make it the only site yet to receive a 100/100 review score from me though (and that was even before the new design update).

1) It’s huge (the largest of its kind), particularly if you care about more than just the solo girl and lesbian videos

2) The highest of the four available video qualities is excellent, full DVD resolution at 720×480, 2200+ kbit

3) Extremely powerful site interface, making it easy to search for, sort, bookmark and download exactly what you want. You can even “cut” partial scenes with a drag-and-drop screenshot system

4) The price is still among the lowest for any kind of porn site. $9.95 a month if you can live without the highest video quality (you’ll have to do with 480×352, 800+ kbit, decent but not great), $14.95 if you want the full package (or $9.95 if you go with the ten months discounted offer)

5) Obviously no download limitations of any kind

As mentioned you can freely browse the entire site if you should feel so inclined, and there are some sample video clips (clearly labelled) mixed into the scene listings.

There’s rarely any shortage of new lesbian fisting videos at ALS Scan - and after the recent quality upgrades (read more about those in my updated review), now not “just” in DVD quality any more, but several of them in full HD at 1280×720, 3500+ kbit.

A site I’ve only written about a few times before here at Babes and Toys, but which I gave a well deserved 97/100 score in my review back in October (updated last month) and still keeps a recurring membership to, is ALS Scan.
I’m gonna save myself a little bit of time here and just post a quote from my review:

I haven’t been around for a while - after attempts at keeping this blog as well as a few other ones alive (and then there’s that Eurobabe Heaven project that’s gone somewhat… well, stagnent seems to be the word I’m looking for here :), it’s still up and running though, and I won’t rule out I might add more model pages in the future), I think it’s safe to say that my review site (now at 146 paysite reviews, with 10-15 new ones added every month) remains my main focus by a large margin.

Sometimes I do run into something a bit out of the ordinary that inspires me to write here or elsewhere again, like I’m doing just now.
So what peeked my interest this time then? Oh, just what has to be one of the most extreme videos (with accompanying photoset as usual) ever released at Club Sandy - and it’s not like there isn’t something to compete with in there, with all those more or less extreme toy and lesbian videos.

This time however, three lovely blondes - site hostess Sandy accompanied by Dorina and Clara G. - are kicking things up a notch. Fisting has been on the menu many times before at Club Sandy, but they are really pushing it bit further than usual this time.

In the video “The Massage Parlour - part I” (I’m obviously assuming there’s gonna be a part two in the not too distant future as well) Sandy and Clara have either Dorina’s or each other’s fists completely buried in their pussies for a large part of the show. I didn’t time it, but I think Clara in particular was getting fisted in at least 10-15 minutes of the 30 minute video, and Sandy wasn’t far behind - more often than not fisted at the same time with either both of Dorina’s hands very busy, or Clara simultaneously receiving and giving.
For some reason the plentyful fisting sequences weren’t included in the photoset - which is a bit odd since videos and photosets usually match up pretty well at Club Sandy (based on the occasional behind the scenes videos, photos are shot separately first, followed by the video). Since it was “part 1″, I imagine this might change in the next part, but otherwise the videos tend to be what I spend 90% of my Club Sandy time with anyway.

With well over 450 videos and photosets in the archives at Club Sandy, the daily updates can occasionally get a bit repetitive, even in spite of the more than 200 girls on the site and the mix of lesbian, solo and hardcore guy/girl content, but updates like The Massage Parlour certainly helps spicing things up a bit now and then.

Running a review site is an excellent excuse to explore new terrority, such as rubber and latex clad superbabes at Fetish by Anna, a site I’ll be reviewing early next week, or the extremely interesting world of BDSM - an entirely new area for me.

If you’ve ever paid the unique and pretty extreme toy site Fuckingmachines a visit (my review here), you have probably noticed that dark, damp dungeon settings and bondage elemements are relatively common elements in their videos.
No wonder really, as Cybernet Entertainment, the company behind the site, also has a lineup of BDSM sites, each with a special theme.

I guess I must have been more horny than usual that night two weeks ago, because I joined five of them within ten minutes - Hogtied, Wired Pussy, Whipped Ass, Water Bondage and Sex and Submission - and the old “it’s just for review purposes” probably wouldn’t hold up in trial :P.

So why am I writing about BDSM sites here at Babes and Toys? Because a few of the sites are based entirely or almost entirely on lesbian domination. And it’s hot. Very, very hot. Even for a complete newbie to the niche like me.

Water Bondage, Wired Pussy and Whipped Ass all have a load of lesbian shoots (like on Fuckingmachines each update comes with around 30-50 minutes of video and around 150-200 pics). The last two sites are entirely based on girl/girl action in fact, with 211 and 286 scenes respectively.

Going into details here would make this post overly long (not that that usually stops me :P), so I recommend you pay a visit to the sites instead. You can browse through all the updates dating back to day one (that goes for all the Cybernet Entertainment sites).

Below are a few video samples for you as well from the three sites - one of my favourite girls Justine Joli has appeared on several of the sites (including two apperances at Fuckingmachines, which I’ve written about before) so she’s in all three clips. Looks like she’s the perfect little submissive :).
Porn fans should recognize a lot of popular girls on the Cybernet sites - and definately in positions quite unlike what they are used to. Penny Flame, Isabella Soprano, Sandra Romain, Sarah Blake, Melissa Lauren, Charlie Laine, Jenaveve Joli, Sativa Rose, Shy Love and many others. Many of them amazing in submissive roles, and others spectacular as strict and relentless dommes (busty Latina babe Shy Love is a good example of the latter in a number of movies).

Like with Fuckingmachines the video quality was raised significantly around three months ago, so all the latest updates look great in 640×480, 700 kbit. Low quality was one of my original complaints the first time I joined Fuckingmachines, and fortunately these samples aren’t representative of the quality of the recent movies.

I’ll be reviewing all the five sites (Hogtied and Sex and Sex and Submission included as well) by the end of next week at Mike’s Porn Site Reviews, but I’ve spent quite a lot of time with them already and very much enjoyed what I’ve seen, so it’s probably safe to say that the total scores for most of them will end up in the 85-90 range.
