I’ve been aware of Twistys for at least a couple of years, but until I reviewed it last month and gave it, well deserved, a total score of 97/100, I always had it pegged like a somewhat bland (albeit very large) and uninspired photo heavy site with nothing but recycled non-exclusive content I had likely seen too many times before.

While a few of those things aren’t entirely off the mark, it proved to be a whole hell of a lot better than I had expected, and since my membership is still running, I find myself popping in daily to check the latest photo and video updates or just go through the huge model archive, looking for babes, photosets and videos I haven’t seen before.

And as it turned out (and as I probably mentioned in my review, can’t be arsed to read through it right now ), while there is indeed a lot of non-exclusive stuff in there, it appears that I hadn’t seen even remotely as much of it beforehand as I had expected.

Additionally – and unexpected – they actually have a pretty impressive and quickly growing number of photosets and videos shot exclusively for Twistys.
Aside from exclusive sets strewn out here and there in the archives, they’ve also had a “girl of the month” (or treat of the month as they call it) feature going since August last year, and we’re taking first class babes here – including several Penthouse pets or runner-ups like Jamie Lynn, Erica Campbell, Jelena Jensen, Crystal Klein (one of my new favourites, that blonde is just so damn hot – I’ve seen her a few times at Danni’s as well in the past, time for a revisit to that site soon I think) and this months busty beauty Shay Laren. Didn’t know her at all, but it definately won’t be the last time I go looking for her on the web.

All the “treat of the month” features include five exclusive photosets, two or three softcore solo videos (Twistys isn’t entirely a softcore site though, you’ll find plenty of hardcore videos and photosets in the archives for those of the models/pornstars who have done that sort of thing) and a video interview.

I think my main reason for loving Twistys even more than I would have expected after my discovery that the site isn’t bland or unoriginal at all, is that I’ve really started to take a liking to photo content again over the last six months or so.
Granted, if we’re talking hardcore porn I still prefer some live video action, but particularly solo sets with some of all those gorgeous babes at Twistys (and they have a ton of my favourite models – Eurobabes included – plus many I didn’t even know existed) are just plain great, and I’ve found myself downloading several hundred photosets (they come in handy zip files) and firing them up as a slideshow in an image browser. Almost as good as video .

Alright, I might be trying to cover a bit too much ground with that title, Pix & Video (and to a lesser extent sister site Club Sandy) easily qualifies for the title of “mega site”, so flipping through two and a half years of large daily video and photo updates and picking out the best would probably end up with this being closer to a short novel than a blog post.

In all honesty I’m not even able to do that, considering I’ve only been a member of Club Sandy the last few months and not seen any of the 200+ new exclusive videos and photosets that have been added since I reviewed Pix & Video back in April.

I’ve had more than my hands full with Club Sandy and all the other sites I’ve had memberships to recently – both in preparation for my upcoming review site (which is now only about a week away) and for… ehm, entertainment purposes, but lately I’ve been feeling a lot like joining Pix & Video again.

Since I will be writing updated versions of the 12 or so reviews I’ve posted here over the last eight or nine months, I probably will be joining again. Since I’ve been away for so long it’s probably fair to take a closer look at all the new material (the same goes for some of the other sites for that matter, so they won’t be among the first batch of reviews).

I have regularly dropped in at Pix & Video to get a quick preview at all the new updates (I’ve always liked their neat calendar interface and the fact that they don’t close off most of their site for guests like many others do), and I think it’s safe to say it’s highly unlikely the revised review will result in lower scores (taking into account the slightly modified scoring system I will be using) – although weighing the pros and cons of each of the two sites again, combined with a look at all the new extremely hot looking updates at Pix & Video, that site may end up coming out a point or two higher than Club Sandy in this round.

Sandy is hot as hell, but Pix & Video has even more content than her site, a bit more variety and it looks like some of my favourite Eurobabes have visited Pix & Video more often than Club Sandy in recent months.

It’s very rare that I whip out my credit card and sign up for a site as quickly as I did today, but given that I just noticed the latest update at Fuckingmachines stars my favourite redhead, Justine Joli, I had that card out in the blink of an eye.

It’s been almost six months since I was last a member at Danni.com, but with all the new things going on there lately – most obvious are the fairly large and very neat design changes – I decided it was time for a return.

Having been a member three times before over the last two years, and already knowing well enough that I would definately get my money’s worth, I decided to go for the three months membership package.
They have a basic package at $19.95 a month, which includes full access of course, but videos are limited to 300k quality (just barely acceptable for full screen viewing). Then there’s the VIP membership at $29.95 which contains the same but also includes the option of viewing or downloading videos in 700k and 1000k quality – with the last one we’re getting very close to full DVD quality.

The three months deal I signed up for gets you the full VIP membership for only $19.95 a month.
And here comes the best part. All videos at Danni.com are DRM protected, meaning when you play them in Windows media player it connects to Danni.com and installs a license that allows you to play the movie. This means that you have to keep your membership active to play the videos (the licenses expires after a few days and need to be renewed). The other option is to pay a few dollars for a permanent license for videos you want to keep.
More and more porn sites are switching to DRM though – understandable since they obviously want to protect their copyrighted exclusive material, and keep you as a member.
Alright, so that wasn’t the best part – but here it comes. With the three months package all the 1000k videos come with a permanent license so you can keep them and continue to play them even if you cancel your membership.

I just signed up half an hour ago so I haven’t had time yet to go over the huge load of new content that’s been added since the last time I was a member (not that I made it through even a quarter of what they had back then) – I just jumped straight to the model page of my favourite girl, Aria Giovanni, to see what was new there.
